3 Crowdfunding Videos About Community, Service, and Hooks

Today I have a few videos to share from my Dice Tower crowdfunding series. These short videos summarize the key points from my blog about community, service, and hooks.

You can find the previous videos on this website or mixed in with my game design videos on YouTube.

What ideas in these videos do you agree or disagree with? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

If you gain value from the 100 articles Jamey publishes on his blog each year, please consider championing this content!

  1. Loving this video series… I Binge watched most of it last night from the your playlist on Youtube.

I wanted to ask you a question about building a community and crowd: You said (and i’ve seen it all over the place) that one should use a personal account for interacting and getting known (be it interacting on groups and helping people out, posting to social media, and all that), because people find it easier to interact with a person.

From what I can see, this page is designed around a blog (your personal blog), and most of your interactions happen through your personal accounts, even though you HAVE a company social media array (FB, Twitter and all that).

My question is to be clear: I should do most of my interactions a build buzz from a personal account, but still have a company account as well for specific bussines info, right?

Also i’d like to thank you for the plethora of information you put on your blog… it’s really eye opening…

    1. Thanks Andres! That’s a good question, and I don’t think there’s a clear right answer. There are definitely benefits to focusing on the company account while making it feel personal in the way you present yourself on it. If I was starting over, that’s probably what I would do for YouTube and Instagram.
