Here are the conventions we regularly attend. If you’re going to be there too, let us know! If you’re running a convention and want our involvement, we specifically support play-and-win sections at conventions around the world. Just fill out this Google Doc (make sure to click the tab for the right year) and we’ll take care of the rest.
- Geekway to the West (St. Louis). This is our favorite convention to attend and just play games with as many people as possible. Jamey attends Geekway specifically to play new-to-him games with a variety of people.
- Gen Con (Indianapolis). We will not be attending Gen Con 2019, though some of our games will be at the Meeplesource booth.
- Stonemaier Games Design Day (St. Louis in September). Design Day is an opportunity to give and receive feedback on game prototypes, expand your network within the gaming community, and learn from clever mechanisms in published games.
- Essen Spiel (Germany): We will not be attending Essen Spiel 2019, though Matagot will have several of our English-language games there.
If you’re interested in participating in joining us for any of these conventions, please subscribe to our e-newsletter.
This is a message for Jamey. I’ve been reading some of your posts and see you are well respected in the industry. I have had a couple successful businesses and products during my career and now have a game I’m developing. Question:I’m sure you get asked often, do you ever consider looking at someones project in the interest of developing it? Might be fun to explore!
Thanks,
Bob Gibson

Bob: I do indeed work on developing games that Stonemaier Games signs the rights to–that’s part of my job. My job takes about 70-80 hours a week, so I don’t develop or consult on other games/projects.
Hi there!
Will you be represented at Essen Spiel somehow?
Frederic: A few localization partners will have our games (Feuerland, Matagot, and Happyshops), but Stonemaier Games won’t be at Essen.
Thanks for the info! I’ll have a look!
Will you be at Origins in Columbus?
I’m sorry, Darren, but we won’t be at Origins.
Jamey, if one is interested in working for your company, what is the process?
The first test for a potential employee is to find the “Jobs and Careers” portion of our website. :)
