Golden Eggs (buy here)

These 30 speckled eggs (painted zinc, not real gold) were created for the Stonemaier Games 2023 Charity Auction. For each egg set sold, we’ll donate $1 to each of the 10 charities selected for the auction. They are identical in size to the original eggs.

Fan Art Pack (buy here)

Over 300 Wingspan fans submitted illustrations of their favorite birds in the game for the Wingspan Fan Art Challenge, and we selected 255 illustrations–each by a different artist–in a variety of styles. The end result is a large pack of bird cards–mechanically identical to their counterparts in Wingspan and the Europe, Oceania, and Asia expansions–to add a special burst of flavor to tabletops worldwide.

We donated a total of $25,000 ($1 per Wingspan fan art pack produced) to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the American Bird ConservancyThe Humane LeagueMaui Forest Bird Recovery Project, and BirdLife International.

We’re elated by the opportunity to celebrate Wingspan fan creativity in this way! Each selected artist receives a free fan art pack and credit on their card, and then retain full ownership of their art.

The box for the cards is designed both for storage and recyclability; it will fit in the bottom layer of the Nesting Box. You can shuffle the cards into your standard Wingspan set, select some cards to replace the cards you have (there are 446 total unique bird cards in Wingspan compared to 255 fan-art birds), or play games only with these birds (their percentages correspond closely to those noted on bonus cards).

The Fan Art Pack is available at the following webstore links:

US Store | Europe Store | Canada Store | Australia/NZ/Asia Store

Localization partners like Matagot (France) and 999 Games (Netherlands) will also offer their own versions in the near future, and retailers will have the pack as well later in November.

Vision-Friendly Card Packs (buy here)

These packs–one for the core game and one per expansion–offer a more accessible version of the bird cards in Wingspan. This is also a way to buy just the cards from a certain set.

The image below shows the standard format on the left (this will continue to be the format in the game and expansions) and the vision-friendly format for the card packs on the right. The changes were much more substantial than just increasing the font size. We stripped away any visual clutter that wasn’t absolutely necessary for comprehending a card, we made icons darker (and sometimes bigger, if necessary), and we reformatted the power area (larger text, different font, higher contrast, and black text on a white background overlaid on the power’s color swatch in the background).

The original format for bird cards included in the core game and expansions (current and future) remains exactly the same; those cards remain relevant for their bird facts. The vision-friendly cards are a separate option. Each future expansion will feature cards in the original format as found the core game and other expansions. Available at the same time as the preorders for each of those expansions will be a separate set of vision-friendly bird cards for those continents available as an add-on.

The vision-friendly cards for the core game, Europe, Oceania, and Asia are now available on our webstores. Huge thanks to Brian Chandler, Karel Titeca, Echobatix, and many Wingspan fans for their insights about the card layout!

Speckled Eggs (buy here)

These 100 speckled eggs (10 egg tokens in 10 different color combinations) showcase some of the beautiful eggs created by birds of the world. They are are the same size, texture, and material as other Wingspan eggs in recent printings (Wingspan eggs were originally made of plastic, and we updated to more eco-friendly FSC-certified wooden eggs in 2022).

Rubber Playmat (buy here)

The Wingspan rubber playmat is double-sided (original and Oceania–the Oceania mat is used when you’re playing with nectar).

Why switch to a rubber playmat? Some players prefer this material because it’s easier to remove cards from them. Each playmat is sold separately so you can buy exactly as many as you need (i.e., if you usually play Wingspan with 1 other person, you can buy 2).

Plastic Containers for Candy Eggs (buy here)

Wingspan first released in the spring of 2019, which happens to be the season for candy eggs. As a result, there were countless reports of people placing plastic eggs in one container and candy eggs in another container.

We don’t want people to accidentally eat a plastic egg. So we created chocolate-colored plastic trays. These new trays are designed to hold candy eggs, clearly differentiating them from plastic eggs in clear trays.

Celebrating Birds book (not a Stonemaier product)

Artists Natalia and Ana partnered with Harper Design to create an interactive field guide featuring art originally commissioned for Wingspan.

Shirts

This shirt has no direct connection to Stonemaier Games–it’s a Wingspan-inspired shirt, not an official accessory–but I like it!

  1. Any Plans to make stuffed animals of the characters? When my husband and I play, I am the purple badger and I would love to have a stuffy of that.

    1. Thanks for asking, Cathy! What game do you play that has a purple badger? That sounds like a fun character.

  2. I love Wingspan Asia, it’s the version I’ve been waiting for! However I’d love for my partner and I to play with yellow and blue (our usual colours). Are there any plans to release the Asia pieces in other colours?

    1. Thanks Stephen! We don’t have plans to release those pieces in other colors, but you could paint the pieces that come with the game.

    1. Thanks for your question! We only offer 1 version of the Nesting Box, and it includes the multiple layers, inserts, organizers, etc.

  3. What a great way to get more people involved in such a great game. Kudos to you for looking out for people with poor eyesight. 👍🏼

  4. Hello Jamey, I am not 100% sure if this has been asked in the past, but will any future Wingspan Expansions include the vision friendly cards? Or will they always be a separate order?

    1. They’ll always be separate, as the consensus seems to be that people want consistency with the default cards, but we’ll offer them at a steep discount as an add-on if you buy them from us at the same time as the expansion (in the future, we’ll make them at the same time as the newest expansion).

  5. Would you all ever consider offering a set of nectar dice a la carte? We’d like to be able to play flock mode with nectar on both sides.

  6. Hello, is it possible to purchase a total replacement card set for the original game as well as bonus cards for the original game and the Oceania Expansion? Thank you!

    1. It is, but not from us–ala carte component sales cause big logistical complications. However, you can purchase cubes from places like The Game Crafter and Meeplesource. Thanks!

  7. Is the Fan Art Pack designed to replace the existing cards or can I just add them to the appropriate expansion or base game?

    1. Here’s how we explain the options on the above page: “You can shuffle the cards into your standard Wingspan set, select some cards to replace the cards you have (there are 446 total unique bird cards in Wingspan compared to 255 fan-art birds), or play games only with these birds (their percentages correspond closely to those noted on bonus cards).”

  8. Dang, I never found out about this! Well, I might as well ask: I have a complete set of custom cards that I drew early this year, utilizing a very specific art style. Would the team be interested in those as as a separate “fan art” pack?

    1. Thanks JB! I appreciate you applying your artistic talents to Wingspan. While we’re not looking for more art from Wingspan fans at this time, in a few years after we’ve released the final three expansions, I think it’s likely that we’ll do another fan art pack for those expansions, so stay tuned (or check in with us in a few years)!

  9. Question about the Fan art pack… are all the cards by different fans? Sounds like they are, but it’s not clear to me! :-)

  10. Ready to buy the Fan Art Pack – is there a link to get them? The link in the email brought me here and searching in the store did not work either…ready for you to “take my money” :)

    1. Thanks! As noted in the email, this product will be available on October 4 in the mid-morning (St. Louis time). We’ll see you then!

  11. Are the Fan Art cards also vision-friendly, or are they formatted more along the lines of the original cards?

    1. They’re formatted along the lines of the original cards, particularly since we wanted to credit the artists on the cards (the bird facts are replaced by the credit lines).

    2. I appreciate the way your company has worked with Wingspan to be more inclusive and environmentally friendly.  Personally, the Vision Friendly cards have been a welcome addition.  Because we delight in the “fun facts” info, I must say I miss that feature to enhance the natural phenomena of bird life and sometimes temper play from being all about earning points.  Is there any chance of creating some form of info sheet/small reference book that could be read alongside playing a bird whose card doesn’t have that info? May not be a common interest, but I love the info feature, especially when playing with children and enthusiastic nature lovers/learners.  Thanks for the quality and good vibes you keep floating!

  12. Hi Jamey,
For artists of the fan art pack, do we need to order our free copy or will it automatically be shipped to us on the release date?

    1. I don’t know your address, so I’ll be contacting you on Monday with a promo code to let you order it for free on or after October 4.

  14. Jamey,

Will the fan art pack be available through distribution or only through your webshop? Just curious if my FLGS could carry this.

  15. I just got the vision-friendly cards for the base game and all expansions, and I really like the look of them. = )

There are 2 cards where the name of the bird seems to be not quite like the others. They are both from the Asia expansion, and they are: Graceful Prinia, and Grandala. The Graceful Prinia seems to have smaller text in a gray color rather than more black and the Grandala seems to have smaller text and is not centered vertically like the other one-line bird names. Not sure if anyone else’s cards are like this, or only mine, so I’m posting here to see.

Fantastic job on these cards, and I will definitely be buying more for future expansions. =) Thanks for your time.

    1. Thank you for noticing these! I was aware of the smaller font on the Graceful Prinia, but you’re the first to mention the Grandala, and I’ll make a note of it for reprints.

  16. I have all of the Wingspan vision friendly cards, Base and all expansions. They have really helped me when playing the game. Thank you.
Please consider making vision friendly Bonus cards as well, and please continue to create the vision friendly cards for new expansions.
I hope that you are able to continue them.

    1. Charles: Thanks! We definitely plan to make small batches of the bird cards for future expansions.

  17. Looking at buying the vision friendly core game cards, just wondering if the back of the cards is identical to the standard format cards, so that if played with an expansion deck of standard format cards, it won’t be noticeable in the stack. Thanks

    1. Kevin: I’m so sorry that I didn’t see this comment until today. We used the same card backs as standard bird cards.

  18. FWIW, in 2020 I could read all the cards, but now I’m 3 years older, and can’t. Since I play each evening, it’s worth buying the cards, but it will wait until my next order for other things.

And then, it will be piecemeal. First, just one set for Asia, the hardest cards to read (the powers are more verbose). If they are a real improvement, then a 2nd order for the rest of the sets. If they prove popular with my older friends, for whom I also bought Wingspan, then I’ll be buying a couple more sets as Christmas gifts.

If this is any indicator, the high-viz cards will be a slow-burn.

      1. I do too. With the current discount on offer, and after reading some testimonials, I decided to buy all 12 sets of cards. (4 sets for 3 copies of Wingspan).

Two comments (not looking for a response, but I know you’ll probably want to know).
        1) intriguingly, buying 12 sets of cards rather than 11 jumped the cost of shipping from C$18 to $51. So I shipped the 12th set separately for significant shipping savings. The vagaries of courier companies, I suppose. It’s too bad Shopify isn’t smart enough to calculate the cheapest combination.

        2) While the standard Wingspan cards can take some effort for me to focus and read, (I turned 50 this week, sigh), I find the cards in Expeditions to be difficult to impossible to read. Some icons were miniscule, and the card text block background was semi-transparent, which makes for variable contrast. I was surprised to see those choices, after the obvious care being taken with the new Wingspan cards.

        1. That’s really odd/interesting about the shipping cost! We’ll look into this.

I’m sorry to hear that about Expeditions, as we took special care with the fonts and icons. You make a good point about the slight transparency to the background behind the text–perhaps we should have made it solid white. Is it the icons on the right of quest cards that are too small? I agree that they are small, though we didn’t have a good way to make them bigger.

          1. I think they quest rewards are very difficult to see. I’m sure this will be an unpopular comment, but in my opinon, while I appreciate the art, it isn’t essential to game play in the way the quest rewards and other information is. If you needed to make more space in the cards for game info, I think the art could have been compromised a little bit. Otherwise, maybe slightly bigger cards would solve the problem. Haha—I have a lot of opinions about Expeditions! And we love Wingspan—keep up the great work!!!

  19. You said you were surprised that not very many people have ordered the Vision-Friendly Wingspan cards. I think a lot of people do not know about them. I subscribe to your newsletter and I am a part of the Wingspan Facebook Group, but I am just now finding out about the Vision-Frendly cards being available now.. As soon as I was aware of them, I ordered all four sets. I will order all of them with future Wingspan expansions as well. I think the main issue is advertising them in some way. People need to be made more aware that they are now available for ordering. I think emphasizing that you can buy separate bird cards and not the entire expansions would be helpful as well. I am ordering just the European cards for my family who lives in the Netherlands. If you can make more people aware that these cards are now available hopefully sales will pick up.

  20. The person i frequently play wingspan with has macula degeneration and so we tried out the Asia pack and it is definitely an improvement. Can i request that when you have completed expansion packs for the other three continents (Antarctica, Africa and south America) you reformat the end of round goals and card making them bigger and redesign all the bonus cards with a larger font and offer all as additional accessories for the visually impaired.

    Thanks

    1. Thanks for your request! We can certainly consider it. The thinking behind not including the bonus cards is that you never need to look at them from across the table–you only look at your own cards, and they’re always in your hand, so you can put them as close to your eyes as possible.

      1. The person i play with is benefitting from holding the new bird cards singularly through a desk top illuminated magnifying glass which is close to their eyes so large print bonus cards would also be an aid when starting the game, during and working out bonuses at the end. Currently i read out the end of Round goals and they then notate them but there is sometimes discussion if ive incorrectly read it out(as i do, or its incorrectly notated). So making them much larger would also be a benefit. We tested the water with the asia set and are now seriously considering getting the core and other two expansions in the visually impaired cards as they are a great aid.

        1. But i guess you need to see what the global take up of the visually impaired cards first. I hope they are the huge sucess they deserve to be!

  21. Hi there! Is there a way to buy single components of the game? For example… if my sister gets into my box and I lose ONE action cube could I buy a new set of action cubes? (haha)

  22. Hi Jamey and Helizabeth.
I think these Vision-Friendly Card Packs are a great option for players struggling with reading small texts.
In our home, we will keep playing with the original cards, because the scientific name, the region where the bird lives and the facts about the bird are what makes Wingspan special to us. There is culture imbedded in this game and this elevates us. This is one of the reasons we really love Wingspan.
We sincerely hope you will continue featuring this cultural content in next expansions of the game.
    JB, Tytti and Oscar

    1. As noted on the above page, “The original format for bird cards included in the core game and expansions (current and future) remains exactly the same. The vision-friendly cards are a separate option.”

  23. These cards are nice.

Just a suggestion for future designs: Please have the expansion designation on the cards (EE, NA, OE, etc) larger. After I play a game with the base game + any of the expansions, the deck is mixed. Then, after the game, I like to quickly separate the decks, when I put the game away, so that the game is reset. (This sorting process should be quick and fast. There is no need for players to strain/labor over this).

Here is my rant: I don’t know why publishers (in general) make their expansion markings so small. It is if they assume that we as players plan to leave all the content mixed together or they put little thought into the pain we as players go through resetting the content. I know that there is precious real estate on the cards, but certainly there is a little wiggle room here.

That was my big complaint about the original Wingspan cards. I can read the text just fine, but the expansion markings were punishingly tiny. (for reference, please examine the EE and OE cards, side-by-side). The markings are just not user friendly. At least for players that want to reset the game after playing.

Now for the good news: I do see that with these new cards the expansion designation is a little better than the original cards. And I may buy them just for that, but may I humbly suggest that for all future games, that these types of markings could be more sort-friendly?

Jamey, you are one of the very few publishers that actually listen to your customers. It is a rare treat to have such a direct line. Also, if I come across as on the harsh side, I don’t mean to. It has just been a pet peeve of mine for years with most publishers who make expansion or module content. I had to get that off my chest.

All that being said … and still Stonemaier is one of my favorite publishers.

    1. I think I can illuminate a bit here, Bruce, in regards to this statement: “I don’t know why publishers (in general) make their expansion markings so small.”

The reason they’re so small is that when you’re in the act of playing the game, the set the cards come from doesn’t matter. I totally hear you about sorting the cards, but our focus when designing cards is about how the cards are used 99% of the time: To play the game. Bigger icons during the game distract from the many different pieces of information on the card that you need to see. You’re right that we assume that most players keep their cards all shuffled together (though it isn’t just an assumption–players have told us as such).

That said, you’re right that the icons are a little bigger and more colorful on the vision-friendly cards, and we’re using that same approach on Wingspan reprints.

      1. Thanks for your thoughtful response Jamey. As a game teacher and board game event organizer, I love the ability to play games with diverse groups with different game experience levels. Sometimes I teach brand new players, then other times I like to play with experienced gamers. So, I guess I am in the minority here. The ability to quickly sort & unsort base/modules/expansion cards is a huge plus for me.

Either way, thank you for providing a forum like this for us gamers to interact with designers/publishers.

    1. Bonnie: Thanks for your question. The food tokens included in Wingspan are on the cardboard sheets–they should be in the game, and you’ll need to punch them out of the sheets.

  24. I have an idea for a 6+ player game and I would like to purchase more food tokens as well as more boards. Where could I do that?

  25. Hi ! holographics cards could be awesome for the bird illustrated on the main game and extensions boxes 😘

  26. Will future re-prints of Wingspan, European and Oceania have colored letters in the bottom right corner of the bird cards? I see there is a nice blue ‘NA’ on the vision-friendly Acorn Woodpecker on the photo above, and would love to have that on the regular bird cards too.

  27. Are there any plans for custom Wingspan card sleeves? I’d love to sleeve my game with sleeves that have the original card backs on them!

    1. Thanks for asking, but no, we’re trying to reduce the amount of plastic we produce, so there are no plans for Wingspan sleeves.

      1. After i used up the original score cards, because i was playing so many games i decided to print my own and use a table in a word processor. This has meant i can put the items in an order that seems more logical to me when collecting the various points at the end of the game: Nectar, end of round goals, bonus points, food on cards, eggs, total bird value and finally tucked cards.

  28. I would love to see a condensed rulebook and appendix, encompassing all expansions and updating commonly misunderstood bird powers.

    1. Thanks for your request! We did consolidate the previous rulebooks for Wingspan Asia (which includes all rules except a detailed explanation of nectar). When we’re finished making Wingspan expansions, I agree that it would be a great idea to print an all-encompassing appendix.

  29. Wingspan is my favorite game of all time and I play several times a week. So I was very upset when water was spilled on some of the bird cards and goal tiles. Even though appear to be very durable, they immediately began to “puff up and separate into layers”. Since I have the expansions, I don’t want to buy a replacement set for each expansion. Is there a way to purchase individual bird cards?

    1. We can definitely replace any damaged cards. Can you let us know on our replacement parts form which cards were damaged?

  30. Hi. I don’t see the Asia Expansion for sale on your site other than the digital version. Is it available through you?

  31. Are there any plans for a complete set of comprehensive instructions that encompass the base game and all expansions? Instead of having to flip through multiple rule books. Something hardbound maybe?

  32. Id love to play a game of wingspan with birds that are only on my life list, however many that I’ve IDd are not in the game. Is there potential to include every bird (in NA at least) even if the percentages are different, unbalanced, or copied abilities?

    1. There are many thousands of birds in the world, so it is not possible for us to make a card for every bird.

  33. My dice tower has worn out – so much game playing! The scotch tape not holding anymore. How can I arrange a replacement?

  34. Will the natural rubber mats be updated to have the artwork used on the Asia expansion player mats in the future? Or will there be a separate option to buy rubber mats with the updated design?

    1. We’ll continue to reprint the rubber playmats exactly as they currently exist. Because they’re mechanically the same, we don’t plan to make any other version of them.

  35. Will the gold eggs be available at some point? No way I can win the auction but I covet those gold eggs.

    1. Currently we don’t have plans to sell them, but we’ll put a poll in a future newsletter to see if there’s interest.

      1. Where do I sign up for this news letter!? I would also like text notifications.

        Thanks,
        Scythe’s biggest fan

  36. I have a first print edition of Wingspan, and was wanting to get a swift start pack for use with new players. I was wondering if there is any place where I may be able to purchase one.

  37. For all those who need more scorecards, an option exists with a bit of tech and some equipment.
I scanned a scorecard on my printer, increased the size a bit, then printed it out and laminated it, a Forever scorecard that should never need replacing.

    1. Thanks Jim! That’s certainly an option. We also include scorepads in each expansion and we sell them on our website. The reason we do this is because with the paper version, you have an artifact of how you played and who you played against, whereas a dry-erase version is wiped away forever as soon as you’re done (unless you record the scores online).

      1. I would generally agree with one as astute as you, however, my gaming circle has a different way of remembering all those games I won! We scribe the date, name and score of our games inside the cover of the box, for there for all to see as long as the game exists!. Decades from now when I am long gone, my victories will be preserved for all my descendants to see. :)

        1. Nice! I like that too. :) Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that we now also offer a free scoring app for Wingspan called Stonemaier Scores (on iOS, Android version still pending acceptance by Google Play).

    1. Carrie: Thanks for asking about this. We don’t sell food tokens on their own, but we include extra tokens in every expansion.

  38. Hi, my 18yr old son bought me this game for my birhday this year and we’ve played just about every day since. We love the game. Today, unfortunately one of our dogs managed to access some of the components and has ruined the dice and some activity cubes. Is it possible to get replacements please?

    1. That would be really neat! But I don’t know; Harper-Collins is the book publisher, and our only involvement was freeing Natalia and Ana to feature their art in the book.

  39. Hi! I’ve run out of scorecards from the Oceania Expansion, I’ve played a lot against Automa! Is there a way to purchase more? Thank you for creating the amazing game!

  40. Will the swift start pack be printed and available again in the future for those who have an earlier edition of the game?

  41. we played this games so many times our bird house is falling apart. Could this be replaced?

    1. I’m glad you’ve gotten that much enjoyment out of it, Paul! I’d recommend that you consider one of the nice third-party wooden dice towers; check out Etsy (Tower Rex makes a nice one) for some options. It’s not that we won’t replace it, but I think if you’re playing enough to wear it out, this is probably the best solution for you to explore. :)

  42. is the 4 player quick start package still available? i purchased WS for a friend of mine who lives a distance from me, and she could use that starter set that i saw previously.

    1. It’s actually included in every copy of Wingspan, so your friend should already have it. It’s inside the game box, packaged in a big bag to separate it (and the 10 promo cards) from the other content.

      1. thanks for the quick reply. I got her Wingspan as a gift and have not seen her or her copy of the game since then. I will mention the starter cards next time we talk

  43. Hello, I just found out that there are plans to release another expansion. I know, you can’t reveal much but are you planning to bring any changes to player mats? Something like nectar in the OE. My only concern is, if the upcoming expansion would affect people with neoprene mats. I was about to purchase 5 neoprene mats but now I hesitate. J

    1. Thanks for asking, but we don’t reveal spoilers about upcoming expansions. I can say that nothing about any future expansions will change the validity of past components like the neoprene mats.

  44. Recently I was playing a game of wingspan on a beautiful day with my family when out of nowhere a gust of wind lifted the round bonus card into the air . We looked everywhere for it. While true to the theming of the game what with the way it flew away I’d still like to have my OM bonus tracker card. Is there anyway to purchase one?

  45. Have you thought about selling wooden food tokens? The same design but made of wood instead of cardboard? I would be thrilled if you did and I bet you could sell a lot of them.

    1. Thanks for sharing this, Hilana! We probably could sell a lot of them, but there are so many other companies that make food tokens for Wingspan that we wouldn’t want to disrupt their businesses. Meeplesource, Top Shelf Gamer, and Board Game Geek’s Geekstore all upgraded food tokens (among other companies too).

  46. Just curious why only 5 players, and not the usual 6? Can we play with six somehow? Ideas on what we need to do for that? We love this game!!!

    1. Hi Elise! You could play with 6 players if you purchase an extra playermat and use some substitute action cubes, but it’s generally not recommended due to the added game time with 6 players.

      1. Hello and Happy New Year! I have not yet played this game and I am interested in purchasing this game for my family. I have been reading the FAQ for the same information that Elise asked (six players instead of five). We have a multi-generational family of six and we like to share an evening of dinner and games. Game time is not an issue for us, time together is the whole point. Would you please post what exactly I need to purchase and use so that all six family members may play this game together? I see Joe’s mention of an extra playermat and substitute action cubes. I’m sure that we could fairly rotate who plays with substitute action cubes, but is there a better way? Would ordering swift start packs solve the issue? Would the expansion packs make a difference? I see Jamey’s mentions of third-party wood tokens and bird feeders. Are there third-party options for additional players? Looking forward to your reply.

          1. That is great news! I am glad that I can purchase Wingspan and Wingspan Asia so that my family can play the game together. Happy New Year and thank you for your prompt reply, Jamey!

    1. We don’t, but there are plenty of third-party accessory companies that do (like Meeplesource, BGG, and Top Shelf Gamer).

  47. Wingspan is my all-time favourite board game. I have played it at least sixty times and am still far far away from being bored of it. I have the European expansion already and I am now looking to buy the Oceanic one shortly.

But all this playing has unfortunately damaged the dice feeder to an extent that the cut-out pieces don’t fit that well together. Is it possible to buy a new one?

    Love from The Netherlands.

    1. I’m sorry you had some trouble putting together the dice tower; I’d recommend watching one of these videos on how to do it: https://youtu.be/eEj7_DqqBwA or https://youtu.be/4XN0TgPs4p4

We don’t sell the bird tower on its own, but we’re going to include another in the Nesting Box in case you’re intending to buy it: https://stonemaiergames.com/games/wingspan/wingspan-big-box/

Otherwise you could request a replacement part here: https://stonemaiergames.com/about/replacement-parts/

      1. No I have absolutely no problems putting the tower together. It’s gotten damaged after so many plays is what I meant.

For now I think it will survive, say, about 20 more plays. It’s better to then wait for the nesting box.

        Thanks for your reply Jamey.

        1. Ah, I see. I put some glue on the seams of mine, and that seems to have helped. But yet, we’ll include a new one for free with the Nesting Box. :)

  48. Our cat knocked the birdhouse off the table and our puppy chewed up the dice (all of them) in the 30 minutes we had taken a break from the game :(. Any way we can order replacement dice?

  49. Hi, I just purchased the game, im not sure if it was some how misplaced but when we unpacked the game we couldn’t find a fifth dice. Is there any way I can purchase a pack of them?

  50. Hello, I got my game yesterday and I love it. I am quite disappointed by the quality of the blue insert for holding the bird cards. It was already broken when I pulled it out from the new box.

    1. I’m surprised to hear that, as we use thick plastic to prevent that from happening. It’s possible you have a counterfeit copy of the game. Can you please send me photos of the broken tray, the front of the box, the back of the box, and other components to jamey@stonemaiergames.com so I can inspect it? If it’s a real copy of the game, we can replace the broken tray.

  51. Is it possible to buy the overlay for the Oceania neoprene mat?
As I already have the original mat and don’t want to purchase another new mat if an alternative is possible.
    Thanking you in advance.

    1. Ellie: Thanks for your question. I’m not sure what you mean by “overlay”–could you explain? The only product we offer that’s related to this is a double-sided neoprene playmat (one side is standard, the other is Oceania).

  52. Is it possible to purchase replacement action cubes? My dog decimated one of the red action cubes so we only have 7. Would like to purchase new set of red cubes. Also another vote for Oceania score pads! We are almost out!

    1. Same thing happened to us!!! Our dog loves to steal the cubes. One purple and one red down hahaha.

      1. I also am in dire need of an Oceania scorecard replacement. By way of an alternative is there the possibility of a tablet app that would be infinitely replaceable?

        1. We should have them in stock very soon. I think there are some third-party scoring apps–maybe Wingmate has it?

  53. Is there a way to order Replacement bonus cards? We have played ours so much they are all creased and difficult to shuffle.

    1. I’m glad you’ve gotten so many plays out of Wingspan! Sure, just fill out the replacement parts form noting the bonus cards you need.

      1. Do I need to list each one separately? We have the base set and the 2 expansions. We would like to replace all of the bonus cards. They all have multiple creases.

  54. I am wandering if you are currently working on more expansions? I would for example also be very interested in birds from the asian hemisphere, like the Japanese crane for example, or a creative expansion like “extinct birds from around the globe” like the white swamphen and the dodo etc. :)

    1. Yes, the plan is to have an expansion for each continent. We may also make promo packs for extinct birds someday.

  55. Please make the neoprene mats available again! Also, please offer additional token sheets.

    1. We’re definitely making more neoprene mats, and we’ll list them when they’re back in stock. We don’t offer token sheets, but there are more tokens in the European expansion, and we’ll include more whenever there’s room on the punchboard.

  56. Is there a list of example birds that are represented / inspired by the speckled eggs? It would be interesting to know, and to show others when playing the game.

    1. I’m sorry, but we just used some photos showcasing a lot of different bird eggs–the eggs themselves weren’t labeled.
