Today’s visitor card, the Auctioneer, is a card that is good at any time in the game. Early in the game it’s best to take the money, of course, if you have the cards to spare (which might mean making some other choices to obtain excess cards), and late in the game you’ll need the victory points unless you still need to expand your cellar. But the really interesting choice comes in the mid-game when your hand is stocked with really good cards, but so are the other players’ hands.
