There appears to be a bug with the fan packs – several of the links take you to the Amy’s bejeweled fan pack and the frogmouth pack links to the british expansion instead. Is there a way to get the correct links?
We’ll look into it and fix the links. Thanks, Laurel!
Thanks Jamey. It could have been my computer, I’ve restarted and reloaded and it appears to work fine now. Strange!
Hi, we have a house nectar scoring rule our family has adopted.
1. Every 4 nectar in a habitat gets 2 points, every 8 nectar in a habitat gets 5 points (limit 8 nectar in any one habitat)
2. Everyone can earn these points in every habitat
We like games that let each person do their best without constantly looking over at other players boards to try to edge them out of some category.
We find that this takes the pressure off and lets us enjoy the game even more. We play a very friendly version, including being generous with activating brown powers and using the non-competitive side of the round end tally board.
I know this isn’t for everyone, just wondering if it could be considered for a rule in the future, especially with the digital game where you can’t play by house rules.
Thanks!
Jeff
Thank you for sharing this, Jeff!
When printing out the game cards, what settings (size, finish, card stock, etc.) do you recommend to keep the fan cards as close to the original cards as possible?
Also – are there card manufacturers you recommend?
Scott: Due to counterfeit and IP concerns, we’re not looking for people to make cards that are indistinguishable from Wingspan cards. I recommend using thicker paper and sleeving the cards if you want them to blend in with your other cards, or print a separate deck of fan-designed cards and keep that deck face-up next to the card tray.
The link for “Wingspan Tarot-Sized Reference Cards” is wrong.
Way to go! This is an amazing hub of fun and wisdom!
Thats Awesone, thank you ! Since i am already posting, on fairs like Essen it would be awesome if we could by just a single golden egg. I dont need 30, just one so only the winner of the last game is allowed to use. What i love about Wingspan ? The knowing that there will be a new Expansion (maybe the last) in about 6+/- years. Because anticipation is a good feeling and we can have it for our favorite game for so long. I dont mind when Elisabeth slowes down.
