Susannah Eisenbraun

Susannah Eisenbraun (she/her) is Stonemaier Games’ Sales Relationship Manager. She handles direct communications with retailers — whether they buy our products from distributors or directly from us — on multiple levels (email, newsletters, direct outreach, invoicing, and backend Shopify management), as well as localization partners.

Wingspan was Susannah’s entry point into hobby gaming in late 2020 — a not uncommon story for many people who might not have found this remarkable hobby without the strong pull of a beautiful theme. As a stay-at-home homeschooling mom of two bright and energetic girls, she found that she needed a personal at-home pursuit during the intensity of the pandemic to de-stress and find joy. She didn’t even know that the game could be played solo, but what a profound surprise it was to find the world of solo gaming in the midst of the global shutdown.

She fell down the rabbit hole, growing a collection and finding her footing in the vast BGG archives. As a former professional gardener, she found that pastoral Euro games drew her in the most — Uwe Rosenberg became a fast favorite — as well as games by Stonemaier with their varied themes & mechanisms and consistently stellar productions.

As people began to gather around tables again, she found that gamers were… everywhere! Her amazing neighbor Merlin is on the staff of Geekway to the West and introduced her to her first Convention. That’s where she met Jamey and Alan and played games with both of them. She was invited to a game night and found that the passion for solo gaming and online play had been perfect training ground for trying new games with friends — learning rules, making mistakes, usually losing, but having the best time.

Now her kids are staking their claim to favorites in her collection. Her eldest loves The Quest for El Dorado, despite its tie-breaker that has caused her to have a tentative victory snatched away, and her youngest will play anything with beautiful art and animals — Meadow is a recent delight.

Susannah brings a love of people and a passionate joy for games to her work at Stonemaier Games. She loves interacting with retailers and learning about the variety of hobby game stores all over the US and Canada. She works closely with Alex Schmidt, Director of Sales, as they consistently try to grow and learn how to best serve the retailers of tabletop games around the world.
