Rules – Stonemaier Games

Rules

You can download the Scythe rules here. That folder includes rules, quick-reference guides, achievement sheets, and card guides in many languages. You may only use these files for personal use. They may not be packaged for resale in any way.

Dized now offers a full Scythe tutorial to use when you’re playing Scythe for the first time–no need to even open the rulebook! It’s currently free to use on iOS, Android, or on the web. If you find a bug, you can report it here.

The variant for playing against multiple Automa opponents is here. You’ll need 1 Automa deck per Automa opponent, and they’re available from Meeplesource. There is also an Automa app called ScytheKick.

  1. I think you need to update your folder structure for downloads. You visit the Scythe drop box and under ‘complete rules’ all you get is a black and white copy that says ‘visit the website’, but you just come from the website and all you can find is the black and white version.

But if you then go to the rulebook (many languages) they’re all listed by country, but no English, but at the very bottom is just a numbered file that is English…

  2. Hello! I have a French copy of Scythe. I am planning to have some friends over that don’t understand the language. Are the English texts of the Objectives and Encounters cards of the base game available anywhere, such that I can give it to them for reference? Thank you for reading my question :)

    1. I appreciate you sharing Scythe with your friends, David. Unfortunately for this situation, the text for the cards is only found on the cards.

  3. Hello! I was wondering if there was a link to Chinese rules for Scythe? That would be greatly appreciated!

    1. We don’t have access to them, but Surfin’ Meeple should have them for you (either on their website or by request)–they are our Chinese localization partner.
